Crete

is widely known as the 'cradle of civilisation' and is the natural meeting point for the varied cultures from East and West and is probably best known as the home of the famous 'Minoans'. Crete offers the intrepid traveller a multitude of opportunities to rediscover the island's rich history, culture and heritage through visiting its myriad of archaeological, historical and cultural treasures.

Although now part of Greece for many years, present day Cretans are still a fiercly proud, independent and extremely generous people. It is almost impossible to repay the unsoliceted gestures of friendship that are bestowed upon you, even moreso if you try to speak a few words of Greek! Remember to say
YASSAS! (hello/goodbye).

Crete is a wonderous place for touring - north, south, east or west - there will be something to suit every need: Great fresh food abounds, archaeology & history to 'die for', sandy beches, mountain ranges, bustling towns and cities and quiet villages that time has almost forgotten.

Crete has it all! - What are you waiting for?
